SSO Chamber Series: Novelettes
Opening with the Suite for Two Violins by Grazyna Bacewicz, this lively piece is a vibrant beacon of light with which she kept up the spirits of her people during the days of war-torn Poland. Following this, Glazunov’s colourful Five Novelettes spark delights in the manner of Spanish, Hungarian and Oriental dance, before the piano joins in during the sumptuous melodies of Glinka’s Grand Sextet. This attractive programme performed by musicians of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra will bring a smile to your Thursday night.
