Join Izziyana Suhaimi—the artist who created Can you see the forest for the trees?—as we explore the technique of visibly mending holes in clothes to extend the lifespan of your favourite pieces at home. The artist hopes to encourage children to be more conscious of textile waste and inspire them to mend their clothes in fun ways beyond the workshop.
This session is approximately 2 hours.Each Adult-Child pair ticket admits one (1) adult and one (1) child, and each Adult-Child trio ticket admits either one (1) adult and two (2) children, or two (2) adults and one (1) child between 8 - 12 years old. Participants do not need to have any prior skills. Ability to work with scissors and needles safely is required. Some parts of the Gallery may be cold, so please bring along a jacket just in case.
