Level Up! Fest 2023

Event Details

Level Up! Fest 2023 is a two-day learning festival specially curated for the Drama CCA Instructors and Teachers-in-charge. It will address some of the sector’s competency gaps, advance capabilities of educators and encourage the development of holistic Drama CCA experiences for students in today's world.

This year, Level Up! Fest is presented in partnership with Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), LASALLE College of the Arts and National Institute of Education - Nanyang Technological University (NIE-NTU).

Gain new knowledge and strategies from 6 workshops designed and facilitated by faculty members from NAFA School of Arts Management, Dance & Theatre, LASALLE School of Dance and Theatre and NIE Visual and Performing Arts Academic Group. From introductory programmes to in-depth skills development workshops, there is something for everyone!

Workshops:

Day 1:
Finding Your Authentic Voice by Gavin Leahy (NAFA) - 11am-1pm
Engaging Learners through Drama in the Primary School Classroom by Amy Cheng (NIE) - 2pm-4pm
Collaborative Creations: Unlocking Devised Theatre’s Potential Wendi Lim (NAFA) - 4.15pm-6.15pm

Day 2:
The Anatomy of a Speech and Drama Class by Matt Grey (LASALLE) - 9am-12pm
Learning through Pretending - Drama as a Pedagogical Tool to Build Multiple Literacies in the NT English Classroom by Azyan Binte Azami & Jennifer Wong (NIE) - 2pm-4pm
Make Shakespeare Come Alive by Jeffrey Guyton & Leon Rubin (LASALLE) - 4.15pm-6.15pm
