2. Sleeping Beauty 2024 Presented by Singapore Ballet

Sleeping Beauty is the epitome of classical ballet, boasting opulence, dynamism, and formal rigour, all while delighting in the pleasures of choreographed stagecraft. The enchanting fairy tale unfolds as Princess Aurora's christening turns sour due to a forgotten invitation to the wicked Carabosse. Curses fly, with Aurora's fate hanging in the balance until the benevolent Lilac Fairy steps in with her own magical twist. Fast forward through 100 years of slumber, and enter Prince Florimund, smitten by a vision of Aurora. With live music by Tchaikovsky and the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra, this ballet weaves a spellbinding narrative of love, curses, and happily-ever-afters.
