This year’s edition, subtitled They Declare, is packed with various events spanning across the different art forms and disciplines! Curated Itinerary 1: Family Fun Time 


SIFA’s diverse variety of events are ideal for families seeking excitement and memorable experiences! Whether you’re looking for adventure or crave creativity, here are three activities that are perfect for a quality family bonding.

Witness an unlikely friendship unfold between a not-so-scary monster and a scaredy cat with Leonardo! A Wonderful Show About a Terrible Monster! Through hundreds of illustrated paper puppets, book pages, two-dimensional props, furry monster puppets, and songs, this performance brings Mo Willems' books to life, offering an immersive experience that captures the vibrant, playful essence of his storytelling.

3. End your art-scapade with a bang

End your day in a journey through time, movement and music with SUARA / ORO RUA! Explore the power of the voice, drawing from the Malay term “suara” and “oro rua” in Māori (indigenous Polynesian people of mainland New Zealand) which means “to resonate”. It merges Māori's Te Kore concept with Earth's sonic history, accompanied by original music by Safuan Johari and dance choreography by Eddie Elliott, performed by Singaporean musicians and Aotearoa dancers.

Curated Itinerary 3: Squad Day Out


This next one is great for an unforgettable adventure with your crew! From enlightening experiences and picture-perfect moments, this itinerary promises a day filled with laughter, exploration, and bonding.

 

1. Start with a bang

 

 

Start your journey with Sun & Sea, where stories unfold on an artificial beach, and you as the audience will get a birds-eye view on climate change in this fascinating opera! Through a beach setting, watch as it gradually transitions from light-hearted to serious micro-stories and ultimately grows into a universal human choir addressing planetary-scale climate breakdown.

Want a nice OOTD shot to commemorate your day out? Step into Locus Amoenus, where Filipino artist Ryan Villamel transforms the Esplanade Concourse into a lush paradise aiming to make you feel like you are in a greenhouse! Contemporary and archival geographical maps of the Philippines are meticulously crafted on both sides of each leaf, merging multiple realities and bridging historical and present-day realities.
