“Nature creates no waste.” – Wasted, a documentary by Eco-Business
Ding Yi Music Company presents “ECOncert,” a thought-provoking musical journey exploring humanity’s relationship with nature. This year’s theme, Waste, invites audiences to reflect on this pressing issue through music and art.
Under the creative direction of Wong De Li, Dedric, and Ang Xiao Ting, with compositions by Malaysian composer Yii Kah Hoe and Singaporean composer Avik Chari, the performance highlights the environmental impact of waste while offering a message of hope. Step into a provocative zen garden installation by Young Artist Award recipient Alecia Neo, with lighting by Liu Yong Huay. This concert also features instruments remade with sustainable materials by Alvin Chea Hong Shen and Chea Wei Xian.
Drawing on the documentary “Wasted” by ECO Business and the Mobius recycling loop it highlights, ECOncert encourages critical reflection on our current relationship with waste, as we bathe in the harmonious sounds of traditional Chinese instruments.
