Based on Marc Norman and Tom Stoppard’s acclaimed film, Lee Hall's lively stage adaptation of Shakespeare in Love, is a comedy about what made Shakespeare the lad, become Shakespeare the bard. Shakespeare in Love imagines the intriguing events, which may have inspired the young playwright to pen the theatre classic, Romeo and Juliet.Writer’s block, financial ruin, bitter rivalries and sweet romance combine to create an evening’s entertainment which is sure to appeal to Shakespeare newbies and nerds alike.Shakespeare in Love features local young talents, Jasmine Kuah and León Saint Claire, as Viola de Lesseps and William Shakespeare.They’re joined by: Rachna Anand, Vicki Cooper, Musa Fazal, Lane Graciano, Mustafa Ali Khan, Amit Khanna, Konrad Kuc, Catherine Kulkarni, Francine Martindale, Swastika Nare, Emilie-Ann Oehlers, Shaun Quah, Tarun Satyakumar, Elaine Siow, Shivaane S, Maximilian Tan, Jeremy Wang and Ryan Yong.
